# Rewards

> Thank customers with a discount code after they submit a review.

Reward customers automatically when they leave a review. They receive a single-use discount code by email.

## Turn it on

**Settings → Rewards**

- Enable rewards
- **Discount percentage**
- **Expiry** in days
- **Minimum purchase amount** (optional)

## What customers get

After they submit a review, they get an email with a unique code and a link that applies it at checkout. Each code works once. Only one reward is issued per order.

## Email wording

Edit the reward email subject and message under **Settings**. See [Email branding](/docs/realproof/email-branding).

> Rewards for honest reviews are fine, but never make a reward depend on the rating. Leaving a discount only for five-star reviews breaks Shopify and consumer rules in many countries.
