Getting started

Install Rhode, the recommended setup order and how the theme editor works.

Install the theme

  1. Open the Shopify Theme Store and search for Rhode by name.
  2. Open the Rhode theme page and click Buy theme, then complete the purchase with your store account.
  3. Rhode is added to your store automatically. There is nothing to download or upload.
  4. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes. Rhode now appears in your Theme library.
  5. Click Customize to start editing, or … → Publish to make it live.

Recommended setup order

  1. Theme settings: logo, colors, fonts, cart type (see Theme settings).
  2. Menus: main menu and the three footer menus (see Menus).
  3. Product metafields: card label, subtitle, badge (see Product metafields).
  4. Home page sections (see Home page sections).
  5. Collection and product pages (see Collection page and Product page).
  6. Pages: contact, about, events, store locator (see Ready-made page templates).
  7. Footer and Theme Extras (see Footer and Theme Extras).

How editing works

  • Add a section: in the left panel, click Add section and pick one. Rhode's custom sections are grouped under Custom pages.
  • Edit a section: click it on the page or in the left panel.
  • Blocks: some sections have blocks, such as columns, questions or stores. Click Add block inside the section.
  • Reorder: drag sections and blocks with the ⋮⋮ handle.
  • Hide: click the eye icon.
  • Every section has Space above and Space below sliders to control spacing.
