Google Shopping reviews feed
Send your reviews to Google Merchant Center to earn stars on Shopping listings.
Star ratings on Google Shopping come from Google Merchant Center's Product ratings programme, which needs a reviews feed. RealProof creates that feed for you.
Get your feed link
Open Settings → Google Shopping reviews feed in the app and copy the Feed URL. The page also shows how many approved reviews are included.
Add it in Merchant Center
- In Merchant Center, go to Products → Data sources.
- Choose Add product reviews feed and paste the URL.
- Set it to fetch on a schedule. RealProof refreshes the feed about once an hour.
Requirements
- Each product needs a barcode (GTIN) or SKU in Shopify. Reviews on products with neither are left out.
- Reviews need text. Rating-only reviews are skipped.
- Google generally wants a minimum number of reviews, around 50 across the store, before ratings appear. Approval can take days or weeks.
Keep the link private
Anyone with the link can read the feed. If it is shared by mistake, use Generate new link and update Merchant Center.
Search results too
The Review structured data block adds markup to product pages that can help Google show ratings in normal search results. It does not guarantee them.
